Nick Hands (Training Specialist)

Nick is an innovative training specialist, passionate about developing people to fulfil their potential, with a proven capability to achieve high quality results. Nick has extensive experience in change management, systems implementation and blended eLearning projects gained from over 30 major assignments. This has led to successful outcomes achieved for major companies in the Financial Services and Telecoms Industries. Nick has also worked as an IT Training Executive for Forte PLC and run a specialist consultancy for over 10 years.

His expertise is in training needs analysis, sophisticated learning design, assessment, training, coaching and evaluation. He has worked in the following areas:

• Project Management of the HR aspects of major systems implementation and change projects.
• For two years he led a workshop on Project Team Management at the Inland Revenue Staff College .

  Examples of consulting assignments include:

  • Led systems implementation for a major UK Bank to embed the changes resulting from an extensive workflow system (5 sites and 500+ people) that fundamentally altered the way administration teams worked.
  • Nick implemented a customer service process for a government department over a 9 month period (60,000 people), which led to further assignments including project management training at their staff college.
  • Team leader and Assessor on 8 development centres – part of a restructuring for a utilities company.
  • Facilitator on innovative sales development programme for leading high street service provider, trained hundreds of staff and managers over 12 month period.

  Nick holds an MSc in Business Information Technology and Diploma in Training Management. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
